Monte Sano, Washington
Cool, heavy clouds, feels like rain is coming

As I drove into Ocean City it occurred to me that we often concentrate so deeply on our goals and destinations that we neglect to enjoy the trip along the way. Ocean City in and of itself is hardly worth driving several thousand miles to see, but I'm glad I came 92.574.Quinault River Drive,
92.574.Quinault River Drive,
. It's what I experienced along the way that makes the trip worthwhile. The destination is secondary, but the voyage is what counts. The same is true of our lives. Reaching a certain status or position or age or whatever is not what living should be about. It's the sum of the days and experiences along the way that makes a life. Don't fret about the station at the end of the line; make the ride enough for today, and let today have value in itself. I drifted through Copalis Beach and Copalis Crossing to Humptulips, then I followed US-101 to Neilton and followed the Quinault River through the Hoh Rain Forest to Graves Creek Station. I returned the same route to Humptulips where I called the Bear.

When I reached Monte Sano I decided to stop. There is a Monte Sano, a small hill by western standards, on the east side of Huntsville, Alabama. I stopped for the night.
