Hello Everyone,

After a nice long day of rest on Tuesday the workers began removing the outer frames of the second floor. I can't believe how quickly the cement dries, but with the weather heating up to a toasty 98 degrees today, I guess it really shouldn't be surprising.

It was an exciting process to see the beams and the floor revealed. Although it was a dangerous process since lumber and frames were falling down to the ground every few minutes. I tried to keep the children away from the building, even if it meant having their hands pulling me every which way. They requested apples and oranges today for snack and I couldn't refuse something so healthy. :)

We will begin working on the walls and the second floor columns tomorrow, and hopefully by Tuesday we will have finished half the walls.

I am so relieved to be finished with the floor, it is truly the essential component of the center!

Not that I have an idea of how any construction is done, but figuring out how an above ground concrete structure is done is so weird and amazing. :) How cool!
