Where I stayed
Macasil Family Home
I am loving working at the orphanage. Each day is basically the same, lots of cuddling, diapers, crying, and playing. I could write a blog everyday about it but pretty much all I would say is I love the little babies like they were my own. I wish so much I could take pictures of them but it is against the rules. They are soooo adorable though I promise.
Last night I moved upstairs into a larger room with the other volunteer in my homestay, Whitnie. We have been having a lot of fun together so we thought it would be nice to room together. Plus it will free up 2 single rooms for our host family allowing them to have 2 other volunteers stay there.
I have been sick with broncitis for about 2 weeks now. It really stinksss. Most the time it is just hard to sleep but I have medicine so hopefully after the weekend I will be back to 100%.
I went to the beach today with Derek and Dave, the two other Americans at my placement. It is really nice to have other Americans around that know so much about the same stuff I do. But I still miss home every once in a while. Mostly I just wish I could share every moment with everyone I know so that you can all see what it is like here.
On Wednesday the big group from Canada left and we had a big going away party for them. A bunch of the children from Bliss that take dance classes at the center performed at the party. The children here are soo good at dancing. Some of the boys take dances straight from America's Best Dance Crew and it looks almost identical. Most of the children are under the age of 15 too! It is crazy. I am going to video tape them once I get my new camera (since mine broke after 2 and a half weeks unfortunately).
That's all for now, I just had a lot of random stuff to share :)
