Sorry it has been so long I made a last minute trip this weekend.  There were 3 Americans that came on Wednesday and because of the quarantine has done absolutely nothing yet.  One of them has been here before and he was pretty frustrated.  So he planned a trip to Padre Burgos, which is in Southern Leyte about 4 hours from Tacloban, and invited 3 other American and me.  We snuck out at 7 am on Saturday morning before the quaratine was offcially over.  But it was a voluntary quaratine and our host families approved so we went.  We took a van almost all the way there and then a few jeepneys.  On Saturday we just laid out in the sun and relaxed all day.  The water there was unbelieveable.  It was the clearest blue water I have ever seen.  When we looked out of our hut it was all ocean, palm trees, and mountains in the distance.  It was absolutely breath taking.  At night there were thousands of stars in the sky.  On Sunday we went on a scuba diving trip.  We went to two spots about a 30 minutes boat ride from the resort.  The coral there was so beautiful and the water was so warm.  I loved every minute of my trip.  Unfortunately my camera is pretty much broken so I only got a few pictures.  But I am planning on getting some from the other volunteers.  I will try to put some up as soon as a get a chance.

I can't emphasize enough how pretty it was there. I couldn't get over it every time I looked at the view.  If anyone wants to vacation come hereeeee. haha

The ride home was the worst part of the trip.  If the American that planned the trip didn't speak Tagalog I don't know how we would have made it back. When we got into the actual town of Padre Burgos we had to take a jeepney to the bus station. When we got there the last air conditioned van had already left so we had to take a greyhound type bus.  But there is a big catch, no air, no windows, and the seats were pretty much homemade. Oh and I have noticed Filipinos love stuffing as many people into there vechicles as humanly possible, even with the heat.  So it was a bad ride to say the least.  It was, however, only 3 hours of the trip.  When we got to Bay Bay, where we were supposed to get on an air conditioned van to Tacloban, the last van only had 3 seats left so we were stuck.  A pastor from a local church luckily saw that we were kinda in a pinch and suggested the safest route for us.  We had to take another "greyhound" bus to Ormoc, which is kinda out of the way, for about an hour.  Then once we got to Ormoc we could finally get on an air conditioned van for the last 2 and a half hours to Tacloban.  So when we finally got to Ormoc it was around 8 pm. We had left the resort around 2:30 pm so by then we were all ready to be back in Bliss already.  The Air Con vans wait until every single seat is full before they leave. So we sat for 45 minutes as the only passengers of a 15 passenger van.  After 45 minutes we decided it was worth our money to pay for the extra seats and have a private immediate ride back home.  So we finally got back to Bliss around 11 pm and I went straight to bed.

The trip was the most beautiful trip I have ever been on, despite the crazy trip home. :)
