I spent the Easter weekend camping at the base of Mt Baw Baw which was lovely - it was really good to be able to get away from the whole backpacker scene for a couple of days especially after a crazy last few days and nights in Sydney! It was a beautiful area right by a river and spectauclar waterfalls. It was a shame that the weather was not perfect but it was still really nice.
Moved back into a hostel on the tuesday and met up with a couple of people from Sydney which was good fun especially as I didn't have any interesting room mates!
so I pretty much spent the last 4 weeks walking around Melbourne for about an hour everyday if i could force myself out of bed!!
I went to an Aussie Rules match at the MCG which was awesome fun and also for a tour of the Rod Laver arena (where the Australian Open is played) which was really interesting.
I also did a 1 day tour of the Great Ocean Road which was really interesting and we saw beautiful scenery (especially when you see it from a helicopter!! - yes, thats right i went up in a helicopter which was amazing!!!)
I worked for most days of 1 week babysitting which was really good to have something to keep me occupied and a little extra cash which is always good.
I have to say, I didn't like Melbourne as much as I thought that I would but then again the weather was rubbish for most of the time. It was really nice though just to be able to relax and spent a month around the same people and not have to worry about packing up and moving on which is what i have been doing pretty much every 2 nights since i arrive in Australia. I will be really sad to leave Melbourne but it has to be done at some stage. Going back to Sydney to see out the last 5 days of my Aussie adventures which will be really sad but now onto New Zealand (finally!)
