Wow, it is so hot here and it has stopped raining just in time for me to arrive!! hehe
It is so surreal being in Australia at all let alone at Libby and Jimmy's house with her 3 kids (for those of you that don't know, she looked after me when I was about 5!!) I can't believe I am finally here after such a long time.

Today I have just been walking around the city - the esplanade is really nice and I can't wait to go back to the lagoon (salt water 'beach and sea') because you can't swim in the sea here :(

Libby is taking me up to Port Douglas tomorrow which will be really interesting and in a couple of days time I am planning to go up to Cape Trib and also try out some scuba diving on the reef. The weather is so unpredictable though so it makes planning anything a bit hard but oh well.

Gotta run now but will write again soon and put up some more photos
