I am sitting here at Jo'burg airport on our way to Hoedspreit to visit a private game reserve which will be facinating. As I have acccess to the internet here I thought I would spend a couple of minutes letting you know how I was getting on.
We arrived on Friday morning (suprisingly on time after the crash at Heathrow) and drove out to the Morgenster oil and wine estate in Somerset West. This is where we have been since then and living in complete luxury and being waited on hand and foot. I hope that I don't get too used to it as it will all change in the next couple of days/weeks!!
On the Friday afternoon we had a tour of the farm and tasted the oils and wines that Morgenster produce. (the business part of the trip for mum and dad!) Saturday we drove to Stellenbosch and a little further which was lovely. Sunday was a drive to Hermanus which was far more intersting on the way home as we drove along the coastal road instead of the main road. The road linking Hermanus to the main road was certainly interesting as about 1/2 way along it turned into a dirt track for many miles.
The weather has been beautiful in Somerset West but here in Johannesburg it is raining at the moment. I have taken loads of photos but probably wont be able to put them up until I arrive in Singapore and get hold of a slightly faster computer!
