Following the festivities of July 19th, which didn't finish until the sun had risen on the following day, I was rudely awoken at about 8am by a group of children attacking me in my hammock. Me and a few of the other volunteers had promised to take them to the nearby Laguna Apoyo and so, despite my complaints as to the early hour, I was forced to prepare for the trip following just two or three hours of sleep.
