After a killer 14hr over-night bus journey from Vegas we finally arrived in San Fran. Never again am I getting a greyhound bus, the novelty soon wears off and the buses are simply not designed for comfort plus they are pretty filthy. Anyway it was a pretty cool view coming into San Fran from Oakland, we could see the Golden Gate Bridge and all the cool buildings. I love a good city and we were getting really excited as we both wanted to visit San Francisco for ages.
We arrived at the central bus station and transferred onto a public bus to Union square with seemingly great ease, good start. Josh our friend we were coming to visit and had met previously on our travels in Bariloche, Argentina arranged to meet us in a coffee shop on Union square. We were slightly early so we had a couple of beers and watched the world go by. It was good to see Josh when he turned up and he took us straight round to a friend's house where we could stay for the weekend
In the morning we were all a bit hung over so Josh took us out to one of San Francisco's most famous places for brunch. I must admit it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I had the crab eggs benedict and Carla the crab omelette
The following day Carla and I went to do the sights whilst Josh had some work to catch up on. Josh kindly dropped us off at the far side of the golden gate bridge where Carla and walked back along the bridge and all along the harbour back to where we were staying. The weather again was perfect and we had a great view over the city and Alcatraz. In the evening we took it generally quite easy as we were getting up first thing to drive up to Lake Tahoe to do some skiing.

Beer pong
. This was a good house that came complete with a fully equipped bar in the basement along with the biggest T.V screen I have ever seen, table football, a dancers pole and a ping pong table (not for playing table tennis on but for the widely acclaimed frat game of beer pong which we will get to later). We had a quick shower and a round of introductions to a load of very drunk semi naked people in the basement one of whom was John, one of the houses more lively tenants. When ready, Josh, Carla and I went round to another friends flat where we met some more folk and went up to their roof for a pretty impressive view of San Francisco. We all then went on to a really cool Dim Sum restaurant where about 20 of us had great meal and got acquainted with one another. After the meal we all went onto a club. It's so funny going to a club in the States; they are a bit different to the clubs at home and the one we went to was modelled more on a R&B scene with lots of people in diamond earrings calling each other "Boo". We had great fun, got thoroughly stuck into the evening and chatted to loads of people. We all left club and went back to the house were the party continued well into the night. Carla & the pole
. After wards we went down to pier 39 and took a long walk along the quay to get some fresh air. It was a lovely walk and the sun was shining. In the evening a few of us all met up and went to a really cool bar for a kick arse burger and sank a few pint of Guinness which I had really missed. The following day Carla and I went to do the sights whilst Josh had some work to catch up on.
