After a soak in the hot tubs and a self- made breakfast we headed off to Santa Fe. It rained most of the way and the drive was really quite boring because it was basically straight freeway with not much to see. We arrived about 2.30pm in Santa Fe. After checking in we went for a stroll along the streets. Santa Fe is very unusual because the buildings all look similar like pueblo indian ( rendered brown) . Lots of fabulous shops - mainly jewellery, clothing. food and art galleries ( not necessarily authentic indian) near where we are staying - still quaint though. We had dinner at a bar and grill ( San Francisco Street) which was great and quite cheap ( and they make great margaritas). The motel is very central and reasonable comfortable. An early night is needed ready for a full day of sight seeing, shopping etc. tomorrow.
