Another humid day. We wandered along the streets of San Francisco to China Town which is like Melbourne's China Town but much bigger and lots more shops. We had dim sum for brunch. The Chinese walk around the restaurant with trolleys of food (yum cha type stuff) and you get to choose what you want to eat. It was very yummy!! Then we hit the shops in Union Square. Prices here are much cheaper than Aust but you have to remember to add on sales tax to the price-something we need to get used to!! And we have to remember to give tips (money) all the time!!!! We caught the electric bus to the Ferry building where we had some Mexican food and a wander through the shops. Then we caught the historic trolley car (like an old tram) back to Fisherman's Wharf. Last night we went to Alcatraz Island to the historic prison. Very interesting tour of the old prison. It was quite foggy which added to the "atmosphere". Luckily we all escaped from Alcatraz. After dinner on Fisherman's Wharf (seafood for the girls and steak for Dave) we arrived home about 11.30pm ready for sleep.
