To say that I have found Paradise would be hard to really understand unless you have seen what Maureen and I see every morning when we wake up on this Island. Our Trip out here from Langkawi was easy, just an 1 hour 45min speed ferry trip ,and a transfer to a local long boat, to the beach. The customs agent was set up on a fold out table in the shade, we handed over our passports and waited in a nearby restaurant sipping on banana shakes listening to Bob Marley. The water here is turqouise blue and is crystal clear. There is no high rises, no starbucks, McDonalds or 7-Elevens,in fact there are no commericial places at all, only beach huts, and local restaurants and a few shops selling sarongs and shell I said...Paradise.....
We are staying in a bungalow up on a hill at a place called Mountain Resort. The cost of our bungalow in paradise is $18 , the cost of an omelette at the Four Seasons in Langkawi at one of its restaurants was $24.Our hotel has this amazing Lodge style restaurant that is on the edge of a cliff, open-air, and the views are all around, no matter what table you are sitting at. So far , Maureen and have voted that this restaurant has the best Pad-Thai Noodles so far, and is the best place to stay on the island. There are probably only about 15 different bungalow operations, and each has its own restaurant. You can walk the whole island in 2 1/2 hours and there is no cars, only long tail boats run by sea gyspies that take you from beach to beach, or you can walk, and that is what Maureen and I do every morning on our venture for new discoveries.
There is a sand bar that jets out from the white sand beach down a set of stairs from our bungalow on the hill. The water is so shallow is some places, you could almost walk to the other side to another island. The water is so warm and clear that you dont need goggles to see the fish, they are all around you. There is a little bar on the beach at our place called "The Karma Bar" and has mats and pillow to sit on, candles at night, and hammocks if you just want to take a nap.
We are so in vacation mode....our big daily decisions are what time to we want to take our morning walk, what kind of panckes do we want for breakfast ( I like banana, Maureen likes Paypaya,,) and what time are we meeting up for dinner.
The worse thing that has happened to me since being here is today while napping on the beach,  a small white sand crab (he was only about an inch is size) came up to me and pinched me on my back while I was asleep. I guess I placed my beach towel a little too close to his beach home in the sand, and he was expressing his disgust with me, I  moved on to a new spot.
So This is our life,,,how will I ever top such an amazing place.?..I wont even think about such thoughts of the future trips and places, Im too in the moment on my paradise...
