Where I stayed
I have heard about these "small" jellyfish that occupy the waters of Langkawi, they are more bothersome then anything, feeling like little pricks if they pass by you while you are in the water. The BIG jelly fish are coming soon they say,but not for a couple months. So Im not afraid! Off I go, into the sea to cool off, it does get a little hot in the afternoons here. One of those "small" jellyfish went into the bottoms of my bathing suit and gave me a sting on my buttocks that made me practically sprint so fast to that beach that I must of looked like I saw a shark or something
The guests at our hotel are very nice, all europeans, and all couples. No one has questioned Maureen and my relationship, we are just greeted every day with " Hi Miss Maureen....Hi Miss Elizabeth" They are so polite, they treat us like we are guests in their home. I assume they just think we are two friends away from their mates for a little holiday. Alot of the men vacationing here are wearing those small speedo bathing suits that some can get away with wearing, and most can not.
Last night we had "Tapas, and beers at a quaint resort hotel called the Bon Ton. It is known as the most authentic hotel on the island, since it has only 7 rooms, which are actually traditional Malay style houses. The hotel is set in the middle of a rice field, and is also a refuge for displaced cats and some dogs, and they were enjoying themselves being treated to a first class life I am sure.
One of the drivers gave us a ride back to our hotel after our night there
