We had the best Bus ride to Kuala Lumpur on a double decker business class bus. We sat in the two front seats and the most amazing view. The trip took about 5 1/2 hours and the bus even had movies which we were too busy enjoying the view to even watch. They even served us lunch, some delicious tandoori chicken with some dried fish heads with peanuts on the side. Loved the chicken.

Kuala Lumpur reminds me of a combination of Khao San Road in Bangkok and a little bit of Cambodia. We are staying in Chinatown and its a great happening neighborhood. There is this night market right behind our hotel that sells all the latest knock-offs and Dvds. There is no room in my backpack so there will be none of that shopping. We ventured out to try some local food and had the best chicken satay that I have ever had. Its basically marinated chicken on a stick grilled on some special kind of coals ( I think) and served with this amazing yummy peanut sauce, we went back twice.

Then it was time for a massage so we picked out this nice spa with a great Zen atmosphere to end our day with some pampering. I choose the foot massage, and it was great, she was a little tough on me, and when I told her to go a little softer she said " good for you, drink some tea" so I  toughened up and I really did feel good afterwords. Maureen choose the full body " therapeutic" massage. What does that mean? It means she paid for 1 1/2 of pure torture. Her masseuse did not speak English, and when she tried to tell him to be a little more gentle, he told her " good for you, tension, toxins need to come out".Maureen is really healthy so I dont know what hes talking about.

He did this treatment on her called " cupping". They place these suction cups on your back and they are suppose to suck the toxins out of your body. Well , Maureen came out of that room looking like she had been sucked by a bunch of large mouth guppies. She has these large dark circles all over her back....I told her she would laugh about it later. She wants to know when that will be. I hope soon.
