Its amazing how fast 17 hours goes when you are sitting in really comfortable seat on a plane. Maureen and I had such a smooth travel day here, I have to say it is my travel karma. For all of you that know me, you know that I have really good luck when it comes to getting on flights and getting really great seats as well.. We flew out of San Francisco, and sat in Business Class from there to Narita, Japan. Had some wonderful , fresh Sushi at the Narita airport, and then sat in First Class from there to Singapore.

Maureen is one of my favorite travel buddies. She sees the positive in everything, and is a ray of sunshine to be with. So the combination of her wonderful attitude, and my travel karma, we had a great trip over here. I do feel that I have stored some of this travel karma up for a while.....While in Bangkok last month, I bought a new backpack at the weekend market, and was going to sell , or give away my current one that I had brought with me. Not having much luck on the bargaining on Khao San Road, I gave my backpack to some backpackers just starting on on their adventure who were needing one as my daughter Sarah and I were leaving Bangkok . My trade was some handmade earrings, I just couldn't bring myself to take any money from these travelers just starting there journey out.  I gave the earrings  to my daughter. It feels good to know that my old backpack is going to see the world, I feel blessed that I have seen as much as I have, but the stories I am sure that backpack can soon tell, wish it could do a blog too.

So the adventure began as we arrived very late into Singapore. I was expecting it to be super Hot, it was a great  night with a nice breeze . We are staying in a area called Little India. Talk about feeling like you are in another country.

Singapore, as modern and squeaky clean as it is, it is a melting pot for all types of people, and they all get along! What a concept, all these different religions, and cultures, and there is harmony and peace.

So off to bed for a few hours sleep. We had such a comfortable flight out that we actually got some sleep and neither of us were tired, but we have to try ...we only have one full day in Singapore and there is lots to see and do!!
