I think that the last entry was a bit heavy - so my aim is to demonstrate that I'm actually having a nice time here!! :)  My friend Katie left on Friday, and I moved in with my friends Holly and Rob (from San Francisco - a former co-worker of mine living/volunteering in Phnom Penh).  It was fantastic - nice to take off my money belt and feel a bit more relaxed going out on the town.  We went to a dance/puppet musical performance that featured live music and dancing to illustrate a story of a princess kidnapped and imprisoned.  I *did* say that this entry was more upbeat - so I'm happy to report that after the main character broke out of prison, he was able to successfully rescue the princess.  We also shopped around, went to Holly's tailor - the woman who is making her wedding dress - and discussed fabrics/cut/material for a while - a welcomed break from museum visits and depressing historical talks! :)  We chilled out - and on my last morning there, Rob made me the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich known to mankind, for my bus trip to Saigon.  Outstanding!
While I've enjoyed my time in Cambodia, I am excited about Vietnam.  Cambodia was more developed than Laos, but I think it's less so than Vietnam.  It's a bit pricier than I thought it would be - but I suppose that wouldn't necessarily have been the case if I'd had stayed clear of the drinks Foreign Correspondence Club in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap - but the views were amazing!!!  Off to Saigon/Ho Chi Min City!!
