Well hello again. I meant to write this weekend, but got distracted, quite honestly. I was supposed to work the weekend, but Regina said she was going to work it as she felt guilty of all her upcoming time off for surgery. I thankfully took the break, since my Thursday and Friday were incredibly busy. I was on my own, and had fabulous days, but they were long and full of cases. I spent the mornings of each day in the big farm, then running er cases in the afternoons and evenings. I did have a festleiger kuh (downed cow) that with treatment got up the second day I went to see her. It was exciting. Also had a right DA (rechts labmargen) to operate on. Then, my most exciting case, a heifer who cut herself open under her mouth. It was impressive because it was almost the length of her jaw, and she ripped all the way through to the mouth. She's highly pregnant, so we attempted repair, with great caution. The funny thing is that the herdswoman told me she was eating (with foodstuff falling out the hole) all the time before I got there Toward the village of Zeilfeld

. Heifers.

So, Thanks to Regina, I got to sleep in on Saturday. I think I was dead to the world for about 10 hours. Jokingly, she told me to stay home and bake a cake...and I got to thinking, hmm... So I made strawberry shortcake and introduced Regina and her man, Frank to the great american summer dessert. (I'm eating the leftovers now...) Also bought a webcam on Saturday, so I've spent my free time playing with that. It's great!! I know I've spouted the greatness of skype before, but I'll put in another plug...it's great to be able to see and talk to people back home!!

Anyway, this week I am back at the big farm for the mornings, and random calls in the afternoons. Also this week I get to be more and more excited for my visitor!! Kat is coming on Sunday...and I absolutely cannot wait! I was able to get next Monday off, so we'll see what exploring we can do.

In my driving about today, I stopped and took some random pictures, so you could see my views during my drives through the Bayern countryside. I'll post them next.

Been thinking about buying some more furniture on Saturday...I'd really like something besides an empty room for a living room. :)

K, I'm going for now. Love to you all!!
