I'd bring it to your attention). I switched to treatment duty this
week, which is what I have been doing all weekend, so it was nothing
new. Except all the students here started up again, from having been on
their break. Overall, it went pretty well. Except having to be told a
bajillion times by each one how to take blood from the jugular. I
wanted to say, 'I know, I've probably done this more than you,
considering I've been in clinics a year and you've been in about two
weeks...' But, I didn't, because that would not be nice of me, and not
very diplomatic either. So, I patiently listened to this lecture over
and over. You would think that me telling them I'm nearly graduated
would clue them in...But that's enough complaining ...overall everyone
is very nice. Everyone asks me who I am and all about school in MI, and
it's good. I met one of the people who I went out with the last time I
was here in Hannover, her name is Saskia and she was one of the
students we hung out with when we were here for the International
program through school. Conveniently enough, she's on the cattle clinic
the same time I am! So, the making of friends continues. This week I am
just continuing on the treatment duties, although I guess as the
students are here, there are lectures now in the afternoon we will have
to attend. In addition, on Thursday, I get to go on the field service
and go out to a German farm to do consulting work with the docs. That
should be pretty cool. I'm also trying to connect up with a
friend/colleage of one of my professors, to see if I can visit his
practice, too. He's down in the south of Germany, near frankfurt. Also,
conveniently close to a town I want to visit that Mark and Kevin said
was great to see....I love travelling.... ;) So, those are my plans,
we'll have to see what all works out.
