Well, well. Sorry it's been so long, but when we were in Canterbury
we did not have internet access. That made it even more of an adventure
when my stupid debit card had to be pulled for "suspicious spending
overseas." That was a hassle to sort out, but it's all working now, and
I ended up calling my parents, so I got to talk to them a bit. Canterbury
was oh-so-much fun. It's a little town that we thought was going to be
boring. We were staying there to go back and forth to Sanwich and the
Pfizer plant. The town was incredible, though. There were all kinds of
things to do, and Canterbury Cathedral is the head of the Church of
England, so it was gorgeous. Twice I made the hour-long hike up a hugh
hill to see the Cathedral all lit up at night, it was beautiful!! The
Pfizer plant was really cool as well. The first day was just lectures,
and a little boring, but we had to be really nice, as they gave us lots
of money for the trip. The second day, though, we got this awesome tour
of the plant, and their liquid molecule storage system. They have 20
million molecules to sort through when they are looking for a certain
shape of molecule, and the system is really cool to see. Their new
robot cost 12 million, about 24 million dollars. Yeah, just a little
expensive. It made me think of the robot that my dad built for
StorageTec, it's pretty much exactly the same system as the one he
built. Well, that's just a short overview of Canterbury, I have
to go for now as there is a line for these two computers. I'll add more
soon, though. I'm currently in Dublin and LOVE it!! Ireland is just a
fun place to be. So, more stories to come...
