Good morning! Today I am in Galway, after a few days of driving
south and around Ireland. I am enjoying the scenery immensely. It's
amazing how green everything is here in January! We stopped yesterday
and saw the Cliffs of Moher, they're quite a sight. Something that I
could sit and just enjoy for a couploe hours, watching the waves crash
hundreds of feet below. However, it is so incredibly windy, it takes
all your effort just to walk around, and there are random episodes of
rain/hail to fight against. So, needless to say, we didn't hang out
there for forever. The view is definetly worth is, though. We
got into Galway yesterday afternoon and found our hostel, then went out
and met up with some of Kat's friends from when she was here. It was a
fun evening. Today we are headed up to Connemara, to see what other
beautiful sights there are in Ireland. It's a bit dark and rainy today,
so we probably won't do the planned hiking, but we'll still drive
around a bit.
