This was a good day in the clinics. I was in small animal
outpatient, the funnel of all of small animal. Everything comes in
through outpatient, then gets referred to either surgery (treatment),
orthopedics, ultrasound or xray. It was fun because I got to take cases
and get the history and primary complaint, and try to figure out the
problem. Since I don't really know any diseses yet, I would have to get
a clinician before I could write out the script. They told me what to
prescribe, and I wrote it out. Yep, it was a good day. Yesterday
I didn't go to my rotation because I was sick again. It wasn't as bad
as before, so that was good. I did sleep the entire morning, though. I
think I get sick when I'm too run down top function anymore, and I have
to take the morning off to sleep. :-) Anyhow, I'm back to almost full
functioning capacity. We were supposed to go to the zoo today,
to see a lion vasectomy, however that has been cancelled. We were
actually supposed to go a few weeks ago, but the lion wasn't recovering
well from a previous surgery, so he's off the schedule for a while yet.
This afternoon we are going to get all dressed up in our sarees
and get our picture taken. That should be quite an adventure. As JoAnn
says, "if you think you get stared at now, wait until you're all
dressed up!" Yes, as we walk down the street in just our normal dress,
we attract all kinds of attention. And, when we're in our whole saree
getup, we may just as well call it a full out parade.
