Can't believe it's half way through the week already, going so fast :-(  Anyway, course went well again, although I am coming down with a cold :-(  Nose running a bit and my throat is quite sore.  I did get some herbal medicine from the school which is good and should help.  Just a bit distracting.

After school I had a quick change and shot over to Pantrip Plaza again and managed to get my charger for 100baht (1 pound 25p) so can charge my phone now :-)

I decided then to have a wander around and find a nice temple to meditate in and I saw a few on the map (which is excellent by the way) so headed off.  I don't know if it's the heat, my cold or just being western but I get lost so many times in Chiang Mai, even with my map.  Lukily it's so small you never get far before you realise you've gone wrong and it's easy to get back on track.  So after several wrong turns (which weren't really wrong as I had no real idea where I was going) I ended up at an amazing ancient temple site.  It looked more chinese than thai, with lots of dragons and brightly coloured columns.  Had a little look in but didn't get the vibe that I wanted to stay.

Walked through the flower market, which was fab.  Need to go back during the day and take some piccies (gets dark fast here (10-15mins at about 5.45pm).  I then found a lovely little veggie place to eat called AUM, which was also a book shop.  Price was 85baht (bit different to the previous night) and was fab, will definitely go back.

I wandered around tonight quite a lot.  Walked through some different areas which felt more local than touristy.  Saw lots of Wats which were all closed up.  I ended up heading back to my guesthouse at about 8pm and crashing.  Very tired and need to rest.
Hopefully cold will drop off a bit tomorrow.
