Well, I'm sitting in an internet cafe a couple of hours away from my last sight of Australia...for now. There is no place like this in the world. Australia has the feel of American life with the hospitality and beauty of a third world country. You have all of your basic malls and convenience stores, but some of the best mom and pop stops serving the best food and providing the best services that no large corporation could match.
As I said before, and I must say again and again, the people here are what I envision people around the world being in some future time. The simple things are what make Australia so special (giving up a seat on the bus for the elderly with no hesitation, buying a brew for a person you just met and not expecting anything in return, asking for directions and having the person walk with you the entire 4 blocks to make sure you get to the right place, ect.) That is the kind of human love and respect I'm talking about
I stayed out at Coogee Beach for the last few days I was here, which is right next to the more touristy Bondi Beach. It is an awesome beach, but some of the people were a bit snobby. The only mediocre negative comment I have to make about Australia. My friend Dawn was hanging out with me most of the time, but she had to take some time off when she fell asleep on the beach and turned into Rudolph's nose. She spend the next couple of days recovering, but still was a trooper and joined me for some beers.
To bring this to a close because I know none of you like to read too much, I HIGHLY recommend Australia for everyone to visit and learn some real human generosity. I still have to comeback and visit Brisbane and stay with some friends I have made in that region, but they know I'll be back. So like the Australians say, "No worries, Mate!"

Hey friend, don't worry--you'll get back. I felt the same way about Ecuador and that worked out. May take some time, or knowing you, maybe not! Enjoy (Or hope you thoroughly enjoyed) your last few days/hours there! And don't worry I'm sure Thailand has spectacular people and experiences to meet and discover too! Great pics! (And sorry about all the excessive exclamtion points...haha)
I envy you, friend!
Orlando, it seems like this is the trip of a lifetime. What an amazing journey. I wish that I could be there with you, traveling around the world at your young age, amazing!
This is a great website to share your thoughts, memories and photos with everyone...
Your travel blogs makes me feel so melancholic-happy for you, but so jealously sad for myself, but don't worry, I wish to do something like this too...someday, maybe...
