As I thought might happen, I went to sleep last night far too early, so I am up at 2:30am typing this travel diary. I will only stay up for a bit and hopefully will be able to go back to sleep so I don't end up suffering from jet lag during the entire trip. Mom seems to be sleeping well so that is a good thing. I'm not sure yet what we are going to be doing today but I'll be back tonight with a recap!! I guess one could characterize to day as "an exploration of Sydney's public transportation systems". We started out on the subway, transferred to a train, then to another suburban train and finally a bus. The trek to our destination ended up being well over 2 hours but it was a gorgeous day so….. When we returned in the afternoon, we did make a stop at the "Boomerang School" which out guide yesterday recommended. It is a small shop really close to our hotel in the Kings Cross area of Sydney. The shopkeeper was a really nice elderly gentleman who is quite funny and extremely friendly. We had a great visit with him talking about a wide variety of topics including of course boomerangs. We finally made our selection and walked back to the hotel for a bit to eat. That concluded out day and of course we both fell asleep way too early and you guessed it, I am up at 2:30am again!!!!
