School is just chugging along. I got A's in both of my classes from last month. That's one down and two to go. I did spend Friday afternoon at the beach, which was incredible considering it's still February.
My host Mom's son and his girlfriend came over yesterday with their kids for lunch. We had cocido, which is my favorite Spanish dish so far. Today we visited a ship that's a reproduction of a XVII century Spanish warship, the Galeón Andalucía. That goes down as one of my most random experiences so far. It wasn't even supposed to be in Alicante, but it got thrown off course because of wind and was here for the night. I of course managed to get sea sick during the half hour we were on board. I don't know what it is with me and boats. Overall, it was just your basic ship, but it provided a great setting for some pictures of the Mediterranean and the sunset.
Next weekend I'll probably go to one of the nearby beach cities, so that should be some better blog fodder.
