Cully and I had a lazy morning around the tent site before heading into town for a 'home style' cooked breakfast by some friendly country folk who employ staff with disabilities and make their café a bit of a second home for other locals.

With full tummies we headed off to the Tourist information centre to pay the kids university fees and post some letters and postcards in the old fashioned mail box that I’m particularly fond of.

Gloriously after a bit of shopping, Cully and I headed back to the tent to change into shorts! Yay we are no longer wearing multiple layers of clothes. I decided to do another load of washing and take full advantage of the rare sunshine.

Due to the change in weather Cully decides that he’ll tick off a few sight-seeing things off my local list and drives me to Lake Wendouree and to the Botanical Gardens. We shared a pizza and had a glass of wine and a beer overlooking the lake and that’s when I spied the Swan family.  Then we drove around the lake front admiring the glorious homes with their stunning large rose gardens until we got to the pub at View Point.  Cully had a couple of beers while I wrote postcards to mates and family and posted them nearby. Then it was back to camp to retrieve the washing off the line and to enjoy happy hour!  Our definition of happy hour is Cully with an icy cold beer and me with either my journal or notepaper on my lap and pen in hand.

I loved seeing the Pavilion today with the huge begonia flower heads and the greenest of green tree ferns at the Botanical Gardens.
