The next day was a day at sea. We spent it by eating breakfast then we found a couple lounge chairs on the 13th floor and tanned for a couple hours. Kyle didn't put his sunscreen on right so he cutely ended up with round finger print tan lines because his fingers are round at the tips. And he always ends up with a farmers tan.
Malta we did a tour called Taste of Malta
. It is literally an island that is made of desert. It was so hot and we got no reprieve from the sun. E started off the tour on a non air conditioned bus. W went to a church-a basilica that had been bombed but remained intact. Then e also went to this garden hic hwas kind of pointless because we just walked through it. It paled in comparison to the gardens of Paris and Asia. The best part of the day though is when we went on a wine tour. It was a winery that was previously an airforce base. The winery looked like it was in the middle of the desert and asn't quite a winery. It was in stark contrast to the lush valleys of champagne. The wines were delicious though and the guide was a really funny man named Roger. The store wasn't a huge fully marketd showroom like Moet et Chandon. E had two reds and a white.
After this we went back to the ship and read. I think this was the night we ate at Tequila and had sizzling fajitas.
After checking the carousel and filing a claim Kyle and I took a taxi to the ship. We checked in and by this time it was really late, like 6 PM. So then we put our stuf down and explored the ship. E ate at the Garden Café buffet. It was amazing! It was a refreshing change to the French food and my stomach was better able to handle it. We cfound a nook on one of the top floors to watch the stars. Our room was in the very back of the ship.
