It has been another lovely day in Paris. The weather was much cooler today but the sun was out for most of the day. As we start uploading more pictures you will notice a recurrung theme in most of the pictures. It has been on the cooler side most of the trip so far so we have been living in our fleeces.

We got off to an early start today and again grabbed breakfast from a street vendor. Then we took the metro to the Louvre. We entered the Louvre through I.M. Pei's glass pyramid and then headed for the Denon wing which may sound familiar to those of you that read the DaVinci Code. The Louvre is massive and the building itself is a work of art. Every museum in Chicago pales in comparison to the Louvre. We were awestruck by the size of the paintings. We saw the main pieces of art: the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory and the Venus de Milo.

After the Louvre we walked through the Tuileries garden and down the Chams Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. I wasn't as impressed with this part of the city. It was ok but not too different than NYC or Chicago.

We went back toward the Ile de la cite and the bouquinites again and did some browsing.

We capped the day off with a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower. You ride up in a double stacked elevator. The top was cold and windy but the views were great.

Tomorrow morning we are leaving this amazing city and heading to Luxembourg. It will be sad to leave but we are ready for some new experiences.

We are working on pictures but uploading takes a long time. Please be patient as there are many raedy to send.
