Miles: 335
Weather: Sunny and very warm (85+)
We left our motel around 0730 and headed back up the mountain towards Cache Creek. But wait, not so fast. The road around yesterday's wreck/forest fire wasn't completely open. The road was down to one lane and we had to wait 10 more minutes. When we finally moved and got by the wreck we were relieved and felt a sense of accomplishment just to have gotten to Cache Creek a little while later.
BC 97 up to Prince George was relatively uneventful. It was a warm to hot ride, moderate traffic and average scenery - pastures and farmland. We arrived in Prince George around 1530 hot and tired. We headed to Hartway RV Park out of town about 6 miles on 97. The tent space was $20 which included showers. The evening was pleasant but loud. Prince Georgians sure like their Harley's and trucks.
Dark finally came about 2200 but light showed up showed up early - 0415.
Oh, I almost forgot. Today is Alex's birthday - 15!
