The next morning we were off to Korcula, one of the larger islands in the region, which actually has a population of about 17,000 people. After docking and swimming for awhile, we were finally given a spot in the harbor to dock. Our guide Kate walked us around the old town of the island which was like a mini Dubrovnik. It had limestone walls protecting it, with small cobblestone streets lined with shops and apartments. We also passed by the house were Marco Polo is claimed to have been born and lived, although Venice is arguing that he was born there.
We were free to explore the city on our own and a few of us went and got beers and sat on the beach until sunset. Once it got closer to sunset, we all met at an old castle tower which has been converted into a bar. This place is supposed to have the best sunset in the city and it didn't disappoint. It offered 360 degree views of the old city and the gorgeous bay, where the vivid orange colors of the sunset really shined.  After a few drinks and a quick bite of Brac, a Croatian style pizza we headed off to "Dos Locos“ the local club/bar.

What was cool about this place was that it was on a pedestrian street and the bar pretty much took it over. So basically everyone went outside of the bar in chairs and tables in the street and danced. It was the most fun we had as a group together, with everyone getting pretty plastered. The inside of the bar had a stripper pole which we all took turns on, little did we know that what goes on inside is captured on a video camera and projected onto the wall outside. But there were some other things being seen on that camera that was better later on ;)

One of the Aussies named Paul, challenged me to a tequila drinking contest and failed of course. I’m not sure how I will do the next night though when he gets to pick the drink. As we walked back to our boat late that night we decided to go for a dip at the beach, naked. Which I have to say was pretty refreshing lol.  Needless to say it was a great night, but it wasn’t going to be the last.
