Alors, ce qui s'est passé :
Khartoum a bel et bien envoyé les papiers pour moi.
Le petit monsieur de l'ambassade d'Ottawa ne les avait vraiment pas.
Huh ?
Khartoum a envoyé les papiers à Paris !
Je ne serai donc pas au Soudan avant le 24, puisque ma Chef de Mission (CDM) sera absente jusqu'à ce moment-là. Ça me fera une St-Jean "sèche" à Khartoum.
En attendant, j'espère aller à Ottawa la semaine prochaine pour avoir le fameux visa et aller à Bruxelles par après, avant mon briefing du 23 à Paris.
J'pense toujours que l'expérience à l'ambassade était bizarre, mais il n'avait vraiment pas les papiers, alors je ne peux pas le blâmer. Toutes mes excuses.
SI (gros si) tout ça tient, retour au pays vers le 16 décembre.

So what happened to The papers ?
Well, Khartoum did send them out.
The guy a the Ottawa Embassy really didn't have them.
What the ?
Khartoum sent them to the Paris embassy !
Still thought the whole embassy experience was weird, but he truly didn't have the papers, so my sincere apologies.
So I won't be in the Sudan until June 24th because my Head of Mission (HoM) will be away until then. I'm hoping to get my hands on the visa by next Tuesday and then leave on Friday for Brussels, to hang out with Véro. The briefing should be in Paris on the 23rd and off to Khartoum, hopefully.
And IF and only if all this holds, then I come back to Montreal on the 16th. If.
