'North Sumatra, Indonesia, Lake Toba (Danau Toba)
South East Asia's largest body of fresh water and the
largest crater lake in the world, Lake Toba is the
region's most majestic area.'

We find it almost incredible to find a place like
this. It's just one of the many islands that are
untapped by many, we found it though. Despite so many
things happening with Indonesia in the news, we
managed to find this island and their people to be
welcoming. Makes me think alot about how one's own
country's decision can really really affect another
country's economy first hand. This place in it's hey
day had tons of visitors, but with all the strife and
unsettled politics, etc,  the islanders are just
struggling financially. Any dollar helps.

We've been here about two weeks and may spend more
time island hopping, more later.

Warm regards,

Edgar & Mark
