Day 23 (F) Le donne (the women) Ti and Dru, took forever in the morning so we got a late start on the way to the station and we got there only 5 minutes before the train left the station. Jerry and I got seats right next to each other, so we played cards the whole way there. After getting into Naples we had to get onto the local train to go to Portici where our hostel was. We got off at the wrong stop in Portici so it took us forever to find the hostel. Finally we got to the hostel and checked in the hostel was very nice so we locked our stuff up in our lockers and went to wake up the girls that had gotten into Portici around 6 in the morning after taking the over night train. After we got them going we headed to Pompeii for the rest of the day it was about a 30 minute ride to Pompeii. Pompeii was cool it was neat to walk around on original Roman streets even though my ankles got a workout trying to keep form getting twisted. The girls we were with were on my nerves all day they don't even try to accept the Italian culture and they just b***h and complain about it and talk about what they want to do when they get back

. They also got bored at Pompeii because they didn't understand Roman history so they didn't like it was much as I did. I got some great shots with Vesuvius in the background. It is definitely a must see when in the area. I it was cool to see how the town was set up and seeing the artifacts and the people cover in ash was weird but very cool. We headed back to Portici to look for a place to eat but there were no ristoranti in the area only pizzerias so we just ate at the hostel restaurant which was ok. We went to bed so we could wake up early to get to Capri at a good time.
