Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya

Rain rain go away come again some other day!
That's what we sang on the way to the desert and the rain did go away.
Sadly for Luo Wei and I the bloody rain chose today to be that 'other' day.

So, museums hey!
What better day to go to a museum than on a rainy day.
We were supposed to go several days ago but the sky was too blue to waste indoors.

Little Turtle and Mantao had already visited the museum but Little Turtle loved it so much he wanted to come with us again. As far as museums go, for me this was my favourite. I loved the displays and the paintings behind them that gave them a more real effect. Each room was dedicated to a different theme and each room was better than the last.

My personal favourite was of course the Dinosaurs!
What kid can go past or choose a different room to be their favourite!

I won't waste time on descriptions on each room as the photos will show most of what we saw. I tried searching the net for something descriptive but the paragraph below is all I could find. For those who do love museums it really is a great place.

The building is also worth a walk around and best of all;
The museum is free!

Exhibitions of the flora and history of Inner Mongolian.

For those interested in history, the Inner Mongolia Museum would be a good place to visit. Located at East Xinhua Street, this museum covers an area of 5, 000 square meters (53, 821 square feet). The collection here has distinctive ethnic and local features. Cultural relics of Hun, Donghu, Wuhuan, Xianbei, Turki, Qidan, Nvzhen, Dangxiang and Mongolian nationalities have a large share in the total collection.

Rare treasures include crown decorations of Hun kings, headgear of Xianbei, etc.
