Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya

How sad it is that this morning will be the last few hours I spend in this historic ancient capital city of China.  At eleven I'll be waving my heartfelt 'thankyou and goodbyes' to my host family.  I can never thank them or Eve enough for organising this for me.  I'll catch the airport shuttle to the airport and then catch my half past two flight to Beijing.

I can't believe that tomorrow morning I will be leaving China!
I can't believe that tomorrow I will be in.....JAPAN!

Why only one night in Beijing?
What about the Great Wall and Forbidden City and all the other stuff?
After Japan I go to South Korea and then return to Beijing for a few weeks
before boarding the Trans Mongolian.

So, yesterday...how great was yesterday!

I spent a few hours playing chess with Ha Ha, who actually beat me in a few games!
For lunch all the families went to the parent's house where we spent an awesome few hours filling our bellies from so many different dishes.  I sat looking around me and couldn't believe where I was and what I was doing.

So many generations all at the one table and I get to have lunch with them.
A bit of a WOW moment!

Anyhow that's it for now....good bye Xian Family.
It is now time to Beer It Up in China's latest Capital City....BEIJING!

Cheers N Beers toya...shane

The soundtrack to this entry was by the band that demolished the wall that divided music tastes in the eighties between my brother and me.

Guns N Roses mate....and the album 'Appetite For Destruction'
He's even got the album cover tattooed on his leg.
Life got much better after that and we lived together for many years and are still the best friends......Go DUDE!
