We arrived home from Amsterdam late on Tuesday night and have spent the last ten days at home. We thought we would be able to catch up on some rest during this time but this didn't happen. We have been so busy catching up with as many people as possible but unfortunately we didn't get to see everyone.
The first couple of days at home Ed wasn't well so he stayed in bed and I ran around like an idiot trying to get things organised for our next trip and also trying to get last minute bits ready for Clare and Pete's wedding. It was brilliant to see my family again too. Keira has really grown up and is walking and talking now. It was so cute to see her walk up the path to me and then hold out her arms for a cuddle! I love her to bits! She has her own little personality now and makes the cutest faces which really make me laugh.
Saturday came around far too quickly and it was time for Clare and Pete's wedding. It was a fantastic day and Clare looked beautiful. We are both really glad we came home for the wedding as it was lovely to see everyone and really nice to be part of such a lovely day. Congratulations guys!
On Sunday Ed's family came up to see us which was really nice. Unknown to us Mum had organised a little belated birthday lunch for us both in a pub nearby and so both our families got together for a meal. It was lovely. Our birthday cake was fab - it was a photo of us both. Keira helped us to blow out the candles too - how cute! It was a really nice day and was good to see Ed's family after so long too. It's a pity that we only had one day together.
The rest of the week we spent seeing friends and trying to catch up with as many people as possible. The week went far too quickly and before we knew it we were heading back down to London ready for our flight to Brazil. Saying goodbye doesn't get any easier. Miss you all!
