We have spent the last few days back in Perth. On Sunday we went back to Freemantle for the day as we really enjoyed it there. We spent all afternoon at the market, wandering around and also watching the street entertainers outside. Then we headed over to the harbour where there was an Asian Food Festival going on so we went and listened to some Asian music. That night we had a home cooked roast dinner which was lovely. It made us both miss home cooked food! We now survive on ready to eat noodles and toast!
On Tuesday we drove first to Hillary's harbour to see all the boats and then around the city itself as we have not really seen it yet. We drove across the causeway bridge to the other side of Perth so we could look back at the skyline from across the river. Then we went up to Kings Park which is quite high up and so we got a really good view back over the city. There are some seriously tall buildings here. We had lunch at the park and then walked to the war memorial and the whispering wall (you sit at opposite ends of the wall and whisper to each other - the wall carries the sound to the other person). Then we returned the car and went for a walk through Subbiaco and to the library. Tonight we went out for dinner to say thank you to Rob for letting us stay. Tomorrow we leave Oz and begin our adventure in Asia!
