We left Jasper early so we could stop at Lake Maligne on the way. There are so many beautiful lakes and mountains in this area. We walked around the lake and then had a picnic before we left for the trip to Vancouver. The sun on the water was beautiful. It glistened and shone amzingly. The drive to Vancouver is a very long one so we stopped for dinner in a place called Kamloops and then stopped at a motel called Robbie's - we chose that one for my Dad! - in Cache Creek for the night. We were both exhausted. Oh, on the way we had to stop at the side of the road for a train to go past - we counted and it had 187 carriages! It moves so slowly! We could have been in Vancouver by the time it finished!
Today we stopped off at a place called Whistler, on recommendation from Erica! It was so worth it. Whistler is another quaint little town but with huge mountains. We watched several guys mountain biking down the mountain - Ed really wanted to do it too but I thought he would probably break some bones so I talked him out of it! We walked around for a while and I bought Ed an early birthday present then we set off agin. We got to Vancouver around tea time. The hostel is in a pretty dodgy area - we're talking druggie alcoholics on the street corner, nice! Lets just say I'm glad we have the car!!!
