We left for Jasper yesterday morning, stopping at Lake Moraine again on the way. Had our second snowball fight!!! We also stopped at the Columbia Icefield on the way up to Jasper. That is where there is a huge glacier which is only accessible by a special snocoach. Obviously we had to do that trip! The gradient of the glacier is pretty steep and the snocoach was potentially very scary but so much fun! The wheels on it are huge! The guy driving it was hilarious too, which always makes for a better trip! The funniest thing though was when we got to the end of the snocoach trail and were allowed to get out and explore the glacier. Ed thought it would be really funny to put a snowball down my back, which was quite clearly freezing! He then ran off when I tried to get him back but in his haste to get away he tripped and put his foot through the glacier, right down into a pool of freezing cold water. He just sat on the glacier with his foot in this hole and looked up at me all pathetic! I laughed so much I completely forgot to throw the snowball! Needless to say his foot was wet and cold for the remainder of the trip!!! Pity I didn't have that on video!
On the way up to Jasper we had to keep stopping the car because there were lots of Caribou crossing the road. They have no sense of the green cross code but are beautiful animals!!!
We got to Jasper a short time ago. It is another really nice town.
