! It was a ridiculous time of the morning when we eventually went to bed! We woke up today feeling a little the worse for wear but didn't let that deter us! Instead we headed straight for Sulphur Mountain. We were planning to climb it but with our heads the way they were we thought it best to take the gondola to the top and then walk the short distance to the very peak of the mountain. When we got to the top it was snowing! The mountain looked amazing with the tip and all the fur trees covered in snow. We had our first snowball fight! We ate lunch in the cafe at the top of the mountain, looking out at the beautiful view. Then we took the gondola back down and headed for the hot springs. We felt the water but didn't go in as we wanted to go to Lake Moraine, another green and gorgeous lake. It was snowing there too!
Tonight we walked around Banff town and admired the quaint little shops. We love it here and really don't want to leave! Its back to the bar again tonight!!!
We got to Banff yesterday afternoon - the drive up here was beautiful. Loads of views of the Rockies with the tips covered in snow. The roads here are so much easier to drive on than in England and the people are so much more relaxed and chilled in the car. When we got here we went to Bow Lake and sat and had a picnic. It was lovely! Then we drove over to Lake Louise. It was raining by the time we got there but we didn't care. We walked around it anyway. The water is so green and clean it was amazing. It is a really beautiful lake. We wanted to go in a canoe but the rain stopped us! There is a gorgeous hotel right next to Lake Louise but it costs $600 per night so we thought it best to give that a miss! We went back to the hostel and made dinner and then went to the bar expecting to have a few quiet drinks and then bed. But no! It was karaoke night and we just had to stay!! We met a lovely couple, Tony and Kerry, who we spent the evening with, drinking far too much and singing far too loudly
