Cairo, largest city in Africa and home of the infamous pyramids!

We spent our time in Cairo visiting the Sphynx and Pyramids at Giza. As it turns out, as impressive as the outside is, there really isn't a heck of a lot to see on the inside. We bought a ticket and went into the Second Pyramid. Following a small tunnel down into the pyramid, we came into a hall before climbing another tunnel up into a room. We were expecting something very eloborate and decorated, but it's actually quite plain with no decoration at all! Seems like kind of a waste to have such a huge place for such a little room, but who knows, maybe the pyramids still have some secrets yet to be discovered.
