Hello, everyone!

It's been an interesting few weeks. Last weekend, the church took a trip to a beach on the Pacific side, north of Jaco, and we had our Palm Sunday service on the beach. Unfortunately, the person who was supposed to book the house we were going to pile into didn't do what he was supposed to do, so we had 5 tents for 40 people!!! We ended up camping on the beach and doing our best -- it was absolutely gorgeous, and in the end, we had a better view than anyone in any hotel.

I brought back plastic Easter eggs in February, and Amy and I filled them and had two egg hunts for the kids on Friday. We also bought real eggs and dyed them... I hadn't of course realized that you don't have to use egg dye, but that you can just use food coloring, vinegar and boiling water cheylin

. Huh. They came out really well.

We had a Stations of the Cross service on Friday night, a vigil last night and of course the Sunday service this morning. Good Friday is the big deal here, rather than Easter Sunday -- everything shut down on Friday, including the city buses, but all this weekend things have been up and running like normal.

The person I had selected to be next year's director had to decline for health reasons, so I'm beginning the search process again. Thankfully, I've had some new and promising emails lately, so I hope to have that squared away within the next few weeks!

Mom and Dad are getting here tomorrow, along with one other member of St. Paul's work group -- the other folks are getting here on Wednesday, and we're going to put wood up against the roof so that the classroom can be a bit cooler. It's been incredibly hot lately, and it will be so wonderful to have that done!!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the pictures.

Happy Easter!

Peace,
Elizabeth
