Luckily at the very last minute we managed to find a place to live, very close to a tube station in Clapham North. We did have to race around to gather together enough cash to pay the very expensive 5 weeks worth of rent and the bond all at once. The benefit of this is that we don't have to pay anything else till we move again.
The house itself is beautiful. It is a split level four bedroom flat with a huge kitchen and lounge on the top floor of an old mansion. We really wish we could live here for the rest of our stay but the owners are apparently moving in on April Fools day so we will have to find a new place in a few weeks. To celebrate our move "up the road" we went for a walk to check out this end of Clapham. Hankering for a proper English "fry up" we headed to a greasy café and ordered a full breakfast. Out came a huge plate with toast, bacon, baked beans, scrambled eggs, hash browns and tomatoes. We both managed to eat it all then, to work it off, power walked back home.
