Ferry to Macau

We got up early today to upload some photos on the blog while we still had a wireless Internet connection and then got on the Hong Kong to Macau ferry for the 75 minute trip. At the arrival gate we were monitored for body heat by infra-red cameras. Part of the containment of bird flu and SARs we assumed. Meg was a little worried they were going to stop her because of her cold. In Macau Meg wasn't feeling the best, so we grabbed McDonalds for lunch and went for a walk around the city. We got slightly lost as the map we had was missing most streets, but eventually ended up at St Anthony's Church. We then walked to the Ruins of St. Paul's and the Mount Fortress. Walking back to the hotel via Senado Square we picked up some sandwiches for dinner. Both pretty tired we went back to the hotel to work out how we're going to get around China in the limited timeframe we have, considering it's also quite close to Chinese New Year.
