We both woke up this morning to find Santa had left a stocking at the end of our beds! Inside there were all kinds of goodies and food, with labels we couldn't read. Since we weren't at home we both called our families and went to the Kowloon Hotel for a Christmas buffet lunch. The amount of food there was great, though they didn't have much of the roast we were craving. Getting the obligatory Christmas sick feeling in our stomachs from eating far too much we decided to walk it off and go shopping.

Shopping in Hong Kong never seems to end. The shops are open all the time, all throughout Christmas. We decided to give each other a Christmas present of a new MP3 player and a laptop computer. Craving the sounds of home and getting sick of using Internet cafes prompted our purchases. Hunting around town we tracked down the best bargains we could find, over on Hong Kong island. To get there we caught the famous Star Ferry, though the trip seemed pretty short, due to all the land reclamation going on. We ended the night with Meg playing with the MP3 player and Rick installing software on the laptop.
