Today we decided to sleep in (as much as we could considering some of our fellow backpackers made a hell of a racket when they got up to see sunrise at Angkor Wat) then move on to the airport. We had to go via Ho Chi Minh City, with a 6 hour stop over. With our fingers crossed that our bags would arrive in Hong Kong, we got on the plane. In Vietnam we had to hand over our passports to customs and they gave us temporary transit passes to use until we could get seating allocations. With not much to do in the airport (they didn't even have a bookshop to browse) we grabbed a bite to eat and read our books.
The flight to Hong Kong was eventful, with an announcement over the intercom asking that if anyone with medical knowledge was on board could they please identify themselves to the cabin crew. Megan thought "Oh Sh.t" and pressed the stewards' button. They didn't come over immediately, so Meg stopped one as they ran down the aisle. Luckily there was a Doctor on board and was already dealing with the unknown crisis.
We arrived at Hong Kong airport and got the special Disney MRT train to Disneyland. Unfortunately having to wait for the train and the hotel bus, we ended up checking in at 2am in the morning. Oh well. Our overnight stay was going to be short. The room was really cool, with everything retro or Mickey Mouse in shape. At about 3am we hit the sack to get up early to see the theme park and have a great start to our Christmas break.
