We are currently in Mumbai heading tonight to Aurangabad by bus. Should be about 10 hours and should be a very interesting experience. India so far has been an eye opener, our purchase of the Lonely Planet guide has so far been a winner. The cultural differences are amazing and here in Mumbai there are so many people. It's a buzz all the time. The taxi rides are like playing Daytona - there doesn't seem to be much adherance to the road rules. We went across to the Elephanta Caves today. They were amazing (we'll post some pictures when we next can) and our understanding of the Hindu religion has been improved. Just as we were returning to the hostel to get our packs and head to the bus we were approached by a gentleman that asked it we wanted to be an extra in a Bollywood movie! He needed some westeners as background extras. Unfortunately we'd already made plans so had to put our movie careers on hold.
We've been told things are cheaper and better out of Mumbai so hopefully we can get a bit of a break tomorrow. India is very very cheap though. We got a bed and breakfast at the Salvation Army dorms for about $5 Australian each. Till next time....
