Up early. Shower. Tube (not walking this time) to Petronas Towers. Few photos then queue for tickets to ride to the Skybridge. I got there at 9.30am, and only 31 people got tickets after me. All the tickets for the day were gone by 9:45am. Anyone going there, I would recommend getting there bloody early. Especially if it's on a weekend.

So, it's 10am, and I have 5 hours 15 mins to kill before I can go up the towers. Walk to Kuala Lumpur Tower - the 4th highest tower in the world, or some crap. Lying Planet said 15 Ringgit entry, which is exactly all I had left. It was 20 Ringgit. Damn you Lying Planet. So, head in hands, tail between legs, red faced with embarrassment at not even having 3 quid to see the tourist attraction, I left dejected and ashamed. And thirsty. And with 4 hrs 55 mins til Petronas. Walked home. Easily. How the buggery did I manage to get so completely and utterly lost yesterday? Chinatown is the easiest place in KL to find. In fact you have to work pretty damn hard to miss it. Internet. Bus station to check on tickets to airport tomorrow. 4 am. Joy. Back to Petronas. Only 1 hr 30 to kill now. Food at the mall, wander round n I'll be grand. And I was.

Went up towers to the Skybridge after watching a truly riveting presentation on how lovely and interesting the oil business, and their role in it, really is. Snore.

he view was pretty good from the bridge, but not that good. 3 minutes up there comprised of arm's length photos of me in front of KL from above and we were whisked, rather impatiently, back down to the bottom. Game Over. Was fun though. Definitely worth the 0p it cost me.

Now what? it's 4:15pm. Transformers starts at 4:20pm. Sold!
So I paid 80p for a disticntly average Chicken Shawarma. In Malaysian terms, definitely not worth it. Then I bought my Transformers ticket, a huge box of popcorn and a 600ml coke all for GBP2.30. In anyone's terms, definitely worth it.

A-a-and over to Kuala Lumpur Tower, armed with enough cash to avoid further embarassment at the hands of the ticket seller. View from the top of here (276m) was good. KL at night. Petronas Towers looked great. I could see the path I waslked the day before and was able to say with some conviction: "You're an idiot." And then walked back to Petronas for the night time photos and treated myself to a Nando's.
Extra Hot my arse. Come on guys, at least try!

And in the words of Ice Cube: "today was a good day..."

And I set off of at 3:45am in a taxi, whose driver assured me beyond all reproof and in no uncertain terms that "No money, no honey". Err... Cheers mate.

Like I didn't already know.

One McDonald's Breakfast and a seemingly un-ending flight later, I was in Manilla
