Ok. Girls have gone. Me and Jan Simon, who is Dutch by the way, and the guy I met with the girls on Don Det, are headed to Pakse. Only for one night though and then getting the bus to Savannakhet - which I am promised, by Jan Simon, is paradise with thousands of Swedish girls roaming about looking for floppy haired English men - so it's really just a stop off.

Turns out that it's actually a really nice place. It's like what I expected Kratie to be from the Lying Planet write up of it. Funnily enough, the Lonely Planet doesn't even give Pakse a good write up, makes it sound like a bit of a shit tip, but it's actually nice. Lots of the old French Colonial buildings are done up nice, and it's got a real nice, chilled out atmosphere.

I approve.

But we're leaving tomorrow so a couple cheeky drinks by the river and off to beddy byes.
