We left Bromo with very little sleep but lots of memories. I sound like a chuffing holiday brochure.

Bus back to Probolinggo, boring, but amusing in one way - the driver seemed to think that we all were desperate to take photos of the hills. No mate, we're not. We're desperate to get to bloody Probo to get our train now shift it.

And we got there. And in the end couldn't be arsed with the train so got another shuttle bus. 7 hours, it should have been, more like 9, but again, at least we got there. Found a guesthouse, pretty shonky, but it's a bed, and let's go to the pub.

Arose from our slumber pretty early actually, considering alcohol plus no sleep for what seems like a month, and probably actually is a month Borobudur - Me and Rob
Borobudur - Me and Rob
. Wandered around trying to find another guesthouse. Apparently they're all crap, unless you wanna pay through the teeth. We didn't so we stayed put.

Bought a batik, which is nice. Had some brekkie, which was average. Got rained on in a super storm, which was shit. So we went to the internet cafe, and then what any self respecting backpacker would do, went to the pub.

Ben and Ads called me on conference call from London. Appreciated it if you're listening! Hollaaaaaaaaa!

and then we got drunk, met some peeps from Sheffield (Claire they went to High Storrs and loved you! 4 years younger than me, sorry I can't remember their names, I reiterate: "and then we got drunk"). We actually met them cos we couldn't remember the last 2 squares on the monopoly board so Rob asked them if they knew, they didn't but their mate did. Woo hoo.

Anyway we were hungry so went to find cheap street food. Ended up in the middle of a sing-a-long eating rice by the train tracks. I, of course, sung more than I was invited to, and not all that well either Borobudur 2
Borobudur 2
.

And then we found our way home. The plan for the following day:

Get up early, go to Borobudur (biggest Buddhist Temple in the world I hear), come back, get me on a bus to Tegal to see me friend Carla.

What actually happened:

Didn't wake up for my alarm, in fact woke up at midday, apologised profusely to Carla that I couldn't come to Tegal, went to Borobudur, got rained on a lot, went back, got the train to Jakarta...
